jabbawockeez【jabbawockeez】这个以戴白面具、白手套和棒球帽着称的舞团，在2003年成立于San Diego，团名典故源于「爱丽斯梦游仙境之镜中奇缘」里一首叫Jabberwocky的镜中诗。他们最初多半在SD和LA演出，2007年参加America's Got Talent第二季的比赛后，知名度大增，2008年在America's Best Dance Crew以锐不可挡的气势夺下首季冠军 。

JabbawockeeZ假面舞客这一团队创立初衷是一群朋友想要展示自由风的舞蹈 。在那个时代Hip-Hop风盛行，然而到处都是一些风格相同的舞蹈团队，那些舞蹈者所表现的舞蹈就像是克隆过一样 。“舞蹈为了跟随音乐的节奏”和“舞蹈作为艺术表现形式”两者之间失去了平衡 。因此就有了假面舞客的诞生 。经由《美国偶像 American Idol》评审Randy Jackson打造的《Randy Jackson Present America’s Best Dance Crew》结束了第一季的比赛，也诞生了第一只美国最棒的舞蹈团队，这支团队就是JabbaWockeeZ 。

Jeff NguyenJABBA早期是11个人，ABDC当时的比赛要求人数不能多于7个，他们决定让Gary，Phi，Rainen，Joe，Phil，KB，Chris7个人参赛，但是Gary Kendell因肺炎去世了，他们为了保留Gary的位置，把参赛人数定为6人，后来Joe的脚踝受伤了，于是Ben代替他参赛，所以到ABDC的时候是他们6个人 。他们有些舞蹈中无论开头还是结束都有指向天的动作，那是为了纪念逝去的队友 。他们的舞蹈表演人数因场地和要求不断改变 。Jabbawockeez每个成员都有不同的舞蹈风格和生活背景，这为整个团队带来了多元化的风格和观点 。特色在ABDC比赛期间，评审Lil Mama毫不避讳地多次表示她超挺JabbaWockeeZ，Lil Mama对JabbaWockeeZ的评论是：「每次表演时，虽然你们的脚步踩得超稳，但是手部动作却异常优雅，这是你们与众不同的特点，也是我爱JabbaWockeeZ的原因 。」

Jeff Nguyen假面舞客这个创意来自于Joseph Larot, Kevin Brewer和Phil Tayag三个人 。成员当时整个团队还包括另外五位成员，他们共同创造了假面舞客的特殊风格 。这五位成员分别是：Randy Bernal, Ryan Ellis, Chris Gatdula, Gary Kendell, Rainen Paguio 。

The crew has won $100,000 and a touring contract after being crowned as America's Best Dance Crew in season one.
