After two years of developing ideas, the first "Game of Thrones" prequel series is officially happening. HBO announced that it's "given a 10-episode, straight-to-series order" for "House of the Dragon" - a Targaryen-centric prequel set about 300 years before the events of "Game of Thrones."
在斟酌了两年后，首部《权力的游戏》前传系列终于确定要拍了。HBO近日宣布已为"龙家"预定了"10集连续剧" 。这部以坦格利安家族为中心的前传剧的时间背景大概设定在《权游》故事300年前。
The new show's cocreators are George R R Martin, author of "A Song of Ice and Fire" and the latest Westeros-based novel "Fire and Blood," and Ryan Condal.

Condal will serve as showrunner of "House of the Dragon" alongside Miguel Sapochnik - the famed "Game of Thrones" director who helmed "Hardhome," "Battle of the Bastards," and "The Winds of Winter" (three of the original show's most beloved episodes).

The news comes on the same day outlets including Deadline and Entertainment Weekly reported that the first "Game of Thrones" prequel idea, set around the Long Night, was no longer moving forward.
就在HBO宣布新剧计划的同一天，Deadline网站和《娱乐周刊》等媒体报道称，以长夜为主题的第一个《权游》前传计划已经取消。

>China launches 6G R&D

China has established two offices to develop 6G, according to the Ministry of Science and Technology on Wednesday, kicking off the competition for the next-generation cellular data service that comes after the super-fast 5G.
科技部6日宣布，我国已组建两个办公室研发6G技术，开启了继超高速5G后的新一代蜂窝数据服务竞赛。
The ministry said on its website that one of the offices consists of government agencies responsible for any relevant policymaking.
科技部在其网站上表示，其中一个办公室由多个政府部门组成，负责相关政策的制定。
The other is comprised of 37 experts from colleges, research academies and enterprises, who are expected to advise policymakers, it said.

Vice-Minister of Science and Technology Wang Xi said worldwide knowledge about the technology is still in an exploratory stage, without consensus over its definitions and applications.
