there be句型用来说明不确定的宾语过去和现在的情况 。如：
There's a man standing in the garden.花园里站着个男人 。
There was somebody looking at her.有个人正看着她 。
There are two people waiting outside.
有两个人正在外面等候 。
There is a man sitting on the fence. 有个人正坐在篱笆上 。
There are two people sitting on a boat and throwing rubbish into the lake.
有两个人坐在船上往湖里扔垃圾 。
There is a boiling hot pot containing various elements(ingredients) of multi-culture.
有一个煮沸的火锅，里面含有多种文化元素（成分） 。
There are many people sitting in front of their computers and communicating with each other through the Internet.
有许多人坐在电脑前，通过互联网互相交流 。
There are two disabled(crippled) men running forward together.

6.对数量提问：一般有两种提问方式：
如果主语是可数名词,无论是单数还是复数,都用“How many可数名词复数are there介词短语?”表示：
There are twelve months in a year. 一年有12个月 。
→How many months are there in a year?一年有多少个月？
There is only one book in my bag. 我的书包里仅有一本书 。
→ How many books are there in your bag?你的书包里有多少数？
There is a cat in the box. 有一只猫在盒子里 。
→ How many cats are there in the box?盒子里有多少只猫？
如果主语是不可数名词,则用“ How much不可数名词is there介词短语?”表示：
There is some money in my purse.我的钱包里有一些钱 。
→ How much money is there in your purse?你的钱包里有多少钱？
There be 句型的否定句有两种构成方式，
一种是将否定副词not放在be 之后，如：
（1）There isn’t a box in the room.房间里没有盒子 。
（2）There aren’t any pens on the desk.课桌上没有钢笔 。
（3）There hasn’t been any rain for a week.一周没下雨了 。
（4）There won’t be a meeting today.今天没有会议 。
另一种是在主语前加上不定代词no , 如：
（1）There is no water in the bottle.瓶子里没有水 。
（2）There are no pictures on the wall.墙上没有图画 。
（3）There will be no one at home tomorrow morning.明天上午不会有人在家 。
（4）There might be no money left 。或许没有剩下什么钱 。
