代表着作周鸣飞在32岁即被评为复旦大学的正教授,在化学领域是多产的学者,每年入选Elsevie中国高被引学者名单(2013—2016) 。至今共发表SCI论文250余篇,包括Nature1篇,J. Am. Chem. Soc.16篇,Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 10篇,曾应邀为Chem. Rev.,Int. Rev. Phys. Chem.等国际顶级综述类期刊发表多篇论文 。其中在《Chemical Reviews》杂誌上,早在33岁时(2001年)即发表第一作者论文,并在2009年以第一作者和通讯作者再次发表在该期刊上 。7篇论文被Nat. Chem., Chem.& Eng. News, Science New,Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Chemistry World和Chemistry Views等作专题或亮点报导 。其中有关元素+IV价态工作在Nature发表后被Chem. & Eng. News杂誌选为2014年度十大化学研究 。最近两年(2015年和2016年)在《德国套用化学》期刊(Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.)上连续发表6篇 。
