1. 表示“一...就”引导时间状语的连词各有什么特点
1）once一旦…就，表示以现在时间为起点，将来的情况。从句通常用一般现在时代替一般将来时，也叫“主将从现” 。

2）as soon as一…就…，表示以现在时间为起点，过去或将来的情况。从句通常用一般过去时或用一般现在时代替一般将来时。

3) hardly/scarcely…when, no sooner…than 刚一…就, 表示以过去时间为起点，过去的情况。从句通常用一般过去时，主句用过去完成时。

No sooner had I come home .
4）因为否定词hardly/scarcely, no sooner句置于首，主句主谓要倒装。
Hardly/scarcely had I entered the gate . = I had hardly/scarcely entered the gate .
No sooner had I come home . = I had no sooner come home .
5) 有的考生还会因记不住哪个搭配是when，哪个搭配是than而烦恼，记住no sooner是比较级，比较级与than搭配就OK了。
5. since表示“从…以来”的时间起点。
1）如果since从句的动作是短暂动词，则时间从开始算起。
It is five years . 他吸烟五年了。
=He has smoked for five years. it is + 段时间 + since是现在完成时的另一种表达句式
2）如果since从句的动作是持续动词，则时间从结束算起。
It is five years . 他戒烟五年了。
=He hasn’t smoked for five years.
6. whenever比when语气更强。
